    Velobet Sportsbook

The sportsbook is a different product from the casino, with its own bet types, its own pricing logic and its own promotional formats. This guide explains how to navigate it, how to read what you are being offered, and where the sports-specific bonus information lives.

    Core Bet Types Explained

Bet typeWhat it isBest suited to
Match resultA single selection on the outcome of one event.Beginners and anyone building a baseline record.
Totals (over/under)A bet on whether a statistical total finishes above or below a line.Bettors with a view on tempo rather than winner.
HandicapA bet with a virtual head start or deficit applied to a side.Mismatched fixtures where the outright price is short.
AccumulatorMultiple selections combined, all of which must land.Small stakes with a large variance appetite.
Bet builderSeveral markets from the same event combined into one price.Bettors with a detailed view on how one match unfolds.
In-playBets placed after an event has started at continuously updating prices.Bettors watching the event and reacting to it.

Two of these deserve extra attention before you use them. Accumulators multiply the bookmaker's margin across every leg, which is why they look attractive and price poorly. Bet builders combine correlated markets from one match, and the correlation is priced in — our bet builder guide covers how to approach them.

    Reading Prices Before You Stake

Every price is an implied probability with a margin added. Converting a price back into its implied probability is the single most useful habit a bettor can build, because it turns "does this look good" into "does this price beat my own estimate".

Decimal odds convert directly: divide one by the price. A price of 2.50 implies a 40% chance. Add the implied probabilities across every outcome in a market and the total exceeds 100% — that excess is the bookmaker's margin, and it varies enormously between mainstream and niche markets.

Our full walkthrough of decimal, fractional and American odds covers the conversions in detail, and the bankroll management guide explains how to size stakes once you have a view.

    Check the margin

Sum the implied probabilities of a market. Mainstream football match odds carry a much lower margin than novelty or outright markets.

    Shop the specific market

A book can price one sport keenly and another loosely. Judge each market on its own terms rather than the brand as a whole.

    Record your bets

A simple log of stake, price and result is the only reliable way to know whether your approach is working.

    Sportsbook Bonuses and Freebets

Sports promotions work differently from casino promotions. The dominant format is the freebet: a stake placed on your behalf where, in most implementations, only the winnings return to your balance. That structure changes how you should use it. On a short-priced selection the returned stake is a large proportion of the total return, so a freebet applied there captures relatively little value. On a longer price it captures more.

Velobet lists the freebet code VELOBOOSTFB, described as a €10 freebet with a €20 minimum deposit and available to players from every country. The full conditions sit on the bonus codes page, and the wider format explanations sit on Velobet betting bonuses.

If your interest is the casino side instead, the welcome bonus and free spins pages cover those formats, and withdrawal times applies to both products equally.

    Mobile Access

The sportsbook is reached through a mobile browser, with the interface adapting to smaller screens. In-play betting in particular benefits from a stable connection, since prices update continuously and a bet can be re-quoted between selection and confirmation. We do not publish claims about a dedicated downloadable application — if that matters to you, check the operator's own site for its current mobile access options rather than relying on third-party descriptions.
